Certainly. Ascended armor vs exotic only adds a few percent of damage, not enough to notice if you are doing your job properly, assuming you have ascended trinkets and weapons. It does factor into things like crit chance minmaxing (since you get less precision) etc, but it shouldn't be much of an issue.
